Zev Fisher Photography is me—Zev.
I have lived with a camera in my hands for more than 15 years. My love of photography began when I when I was a child and built my first darkroom in my parents' basement. The images I took then were simple, straightforward portraits of the people and places most important to me. Today, I continue to capture my subjects with all the honesty and humor of real life.
After years of self-taught experimentation, I pursued a formal photographic education from the New England School of Photography. There, I acquired the technical knowledge that allows me to fully realize my conceptual and artistic vision. I completed my studies at the Art Institute of Boston, where I honed my aesthetic sense and sharpened the focus of my creative eye. This education led me to a greater maturity as an artist and craftsman.
My long experience with commercial portraiture and ongoing personal projects have made lighting, equipment and the other practical fundamentals of photography second nature to me. This lets me focus on what’s really important: taking a great picture, every time.
Weddings renew my love of photography on a daily basis, inspired by their joyful electricity. I am always honored to have the opportunity to share my skills and enthusiasm, and to help you remember your special occasion forever.
