Every couple celebrates their wedding in a unique way. My goal is always to capture the honesty and humor of your celebration through a mixture of artistic photojournalism, candid images, and traditional portaiture. Through my lens I document the tiny details and precious moments of your day.
Answer
I use state of the art Canon digital cameras and lenses. All of my photographs are taken using the RAW file format, which allows for the greatest possible image quality.
Answer
Absolutely. We've all heard the story of the bride whose photographer's camera stopped working in the middle of the ceremony with no backup available. I have backup cameras on site, always just a few feet away from where I'm shooting. In addition, I personally inspect, clean and repack all my equipment before each event.
Answer
By using digital photography I have the ability to see photographs as I shoot. I can decide, instantly, if exposure adjustments and additional images should be made. Digital photography offers wonderful clarity, speed, and versatility when shooting; plus file and printing options so that you can see your photographs presented in exactly the format you want to print them.
I grew up shooting film. From the age of 14 I had a darkroom in my home. Film will always have a special place in my heart. But today's digital cameras offer so many advantages for both shooting and printing that, for me, film is now an occasional hobby.
Answer
Yes. By shooting with digital cameras, I have the ability to present images in color, black and white, or both.
Answer
This greatly depends upon the length of your event and whether you request one photographer or two. At most weddings, I deliver between 800 to 1400 final images. With two photographers those numbers nearly double.
Answer
In general, I believe that formal portraits form an essential part in telling the story of your day. Like most of us, I grew up with walls and albums which were filled with portraits. In my family, they served as a record through the generations. Of course, I respect each bride and family's individuality and tailor my photography accordingly.
The amount of time set aside for portraits varies according to family size, the wedding party and the venue. Once I know the details of your event, we will work together to set aside an appropriate amount of time so that we achieve the images you want.
Answer
I will gladly setup a meeting with you and your wedding planner and/or function manager at the location of your wedding well in advance of your event. This way we can determine possible locations for formal photographs and ensure that on your date, no matter the weather, we will have a great location to shoot in. Also, I'm familiar with many wedding venues and will surely have suggestions to offer.

One of the most exciting parts about wedding photography is designing the wedding album. As a photographer, building a beautiful album is a lot like choosing how and where to hang ones work in a gallery. The album is the final stage; it's your gallery, where your photographic selections and design choices come together to tell the story of your wedding day.
In order to help with your creative choices, I offer a wide selection of cover materials. Choose from top grain leathers, fine woods, brushed aluminum, suede, hand-printed silk and many more fine materials. For your album's interior pages, choose from traditional matted, or flush-mounts where the photographic image spans across an entire page spread! Today's materials and layout selections offer more choices for artistic design than ever before.

Never. If you have booked my photography services for your date, this means that this date is yours and yours only. By doing this I can ensure never be put in a position where the quality of your coverage is compromised by either having to leave an event early or show up late.
Answer

From here you and your family members can view the images in either color or black and white, and order prints and thank-you cards directly from the website.

The small core of assistants and associate photographers I work with have been trained by various art and photography schools around the country and all hold at least a bachelors of fine arts degree in Photography. All of my associate photographers are people whom I have known personally for many years and whose quality of work I consider to be on par with my own.
