Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel Wedding: Ashira & Avi

A
shira & Avi met on the playground at recess when they were just seven years old, began dating at sixteen, and have been madly in love ever since. So when the day came that Avi proposed to Ashira at the Boston Museum of Science, they knew that they wanted their day to be as special, intimate, and memorable as possible. The always-incredible Tracey Gavin at The Fairmont Copley Plaza coordinated the big day and we started with getting ready photos at the hotel. Ashira's beautiful dress was purchased from La Reine Bridal with exquisite alterations by David Joseph and a shawl which included intricate lace and bead work. Avi and his entourage made their way to the Boston Public Gardens where Ashira and her Bridesmaids were soon to follow for an intimate first look and portrait session. This was an emotionally-charged moment as Ashira and Avi had not seen each other for one whole week prior to the first look. Their traditional Jewish wedding ceremony at The Fairmont Copley began with a Tisch & Bedeken- a custom where men and women celebrate separately before the groom is marched in to see his bride amid a huge amount of excitement and fanfare. The bride and groom then made their way to the Grand Ballroom for their ceremony under a custom-designed chuppah adorned with gorgeous peach and white cherry blossoms. After the ceremony, we had a quick portrait session around the Trinity Church, Back Bay, and Copley Square area before heading back to the Fairmont for some VERY crazy dancing.
