ow can I begin to describe this wedding aside from DAAAAAAMN! Cara and John had a wedding that so perfectly rung in the New Year with everything executed beautifully from beginning to the end. The day started out at the Fairmount Copley Hotel with Maricruz Hairstyles styling hair and Kacie Corbelle doing makeup. I took some solo natural light portraits of both the bride and the groom that are perfectly moody and really capture intimate moments before the excitement of the day. Once getting ready was over everyone headed to St. Cecilia Parish in Boston for the ceremony. Following the service, I took family photos in the warmth of the church before heading to the Comm Ave Mall to take advantage of the Christmas lights and holiday cheer ;) I quickly got some beautiful images of the bride, groom and their 22 (!!!) person wedding party. Then, using the lobby area of the Fairmount Copley as a backdrop we took some old school vogue-style images. Getting everyone to be staggered, sitting and standing in just the perfect way with a wedding party that large is always a challenge and definitely requires a little more directing. When it comes to the reception... I have no words. The event planner Kristyn Kerkorian and florist Jimmy Guzman from JNG Event Consulting worked together to create some of the most epic reception details I have ever seen. Every wedding I work with Kristyn is an absolute honor and pleasure and she always leaves me constantly in awe. The room was styled with white mirrored farm tables, linens from BBJ La Tavola and gold rimmed chargers, champagne glasses and flatware from Peak Event Services. The dancing and energy at New Years weddings is always unmatched and this one was no exception. Cara had an outfit change into a second dress that was primed for dancing to the wonderful music by Night Shift. The band played music that kept everyone dancing all night, hyping us up for the crazy celebration at midnight. It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of this exciting day. A massive thank you to Cara and John for including me and a big shout out to my associate photographers Iaritza Menjivar and Doug Levy.
