T
his was one of the weddings I was most excited for in 2022 because Makenna & Mark are awesome people - and I am in love with their daughter Daisy! From the moment they stepped into my office I knew we would become friends. Their wedding took place at Touterelle Restaurant & Inn in New Haven, Vermont and it was beyond awesome. The morning was spent hanging & laughing with friends in robes (guys included, lol) before getting into the craziness of the day. Makenna & the ladies had their hair and makeup done by Vermont Bridal Beauty. The first look had one of the sweetest reactions, and Mark brought a white claw with some of Makenna's favorite chocolate to help settle her nerves before the ceremony (a true sign of a keeper)! For portraits, I tried to incorporate the venue and take a few quintessential Vermont red barn photos before we headed to the field to capture portraits with the Green Mountain range off in the distance. Makenna & Mark put an emphasis on spending time with their closest friends and family and I feel like that really comes through in the photos. The ceremony was officiated by Mark's dad, which felt super intimate and personal. The music during the ceremony was provided by Gregg Jordan and the two peice band fit right in with the rustic mountain views. Post wedding, the guests headed to cocktail hour with the same chill vibe - drinking, laughing, relaxing, and having a great time. Everyone spread out over the patio and lawn which made it easy for me to hop in and out of groups and conversations to capture tons of candid portraits. The reception was decorated with colorful glass vases and flowers from Flower Power Vermont with a DIY feel that made the space feel warm and inviting. A huge thank you to Makenna, Mark & Daisy for trusting me to capture their wedding and to my friend & associate photographer Iaritza Menjivar for all of her talent and hard work <3
