efore Melanie and Eric's wedding I had never photographed at the JFK library and this is SUCH a cool space! The day started out with champagne toasts and hair and makeup by Urban Beauty Lounge. Melanie was helped into a Stephan Yearick gown by her bridesmaids wearing dresses by Jennie Yoo, and Eric rocked a tux by BLVDier. The first look took place in the main atrium, which has beautiful natural light and white walls which really helped the couple stand out against the clean background. Outside there's a staircase that I can only describe as "The Wedding Staircase of My Dreams" with how beautifully it wraps around the whole building. I tried to take advantage of how the green of the trees stood out against the bright white building, ocean views and dramatic Boston city skyline. For the ceremony, Melanie and Eric had a chuppah designed by my work-husband Gregory from Flou(-e)r that fit perfectly in the large open space. The balcony above the ceremony space allowed me to capture a few aerial images to go with the closer, more intimate moments of the ceremony. The reception space was absolutely decked out and dreamt up by Liz Quill from Elegant Aura as the coordinator and Gregory who was in charge of flowers, both of which absolutely crushed these details. Following the first dance and dinner the rest of the night was filled with crazy dancing. A big thank you to Melanie and Eric for inviting me to photograph their special day, and to the talented Liz Friar for being my associate photographer.
