Weddings

L
auren and Erik were married on a beautiful day in one of the most historic buildings in Copley Square. The Boston Public Library is a stunning venue for weddings with great locations both inside and out for photographs. Lauren got ready at the Lenox Hotel up the block and then we walked to Trinity Church where Erik was waiting for their first look. We took full advantage of the BPL for a pre-ceremony portrait session, which also included the bridal party. My favorite shots were taken in Bates Hall with the rows of green lamps and those among the lion statues. After the ceremony in the Abbey Room, everyone headed down to the Popular Reading Room for the reception. The couple had an awesome candy bar set up - the wood card catalogue boxes were actually built by Erik and had a 'Welcome to Boston' stamp on each one. They also had an old school typewriter for guests to write their well wishes for the couple! The room was picture perfect, with centerpieces provided by Lotus Designs atop short stacks of classic novels and the Night Rhythm band got everyone grooving on the dance floor. It was a wonderful celebration and I'm grateful to have been a part of it. A big thank you to Lindsay Flanagan, my associate photographer that day. Congratulations Lauren and Erik!!
