tephanie and Alan were married on the hottest day of the year (100% humidity!!) at the Blithewold Mansion and Arboretum in Bristol, RI. Blithewold is a gorgeous mansion with sprawling grounds that has ocean views, wooded pathways that are all interconnected and an amazing bamboo forest. We took full advantage of everything this venue had to offer and were rewarded with beautiful photographs. Stephanie was the epitome of the do-it-yourself bride with so many amazing details that added to their Mad Med "Madly in Love" theme (check out our recreation of the Mad Men couch shot!). The ceremony took place outdoors in the courtyard, after which guests were escorted to the lawn overlooking the ocean for the couple's signature drink "Berry in Love" cocktails. The reception took place under the tent with their sunny yellow color theme bursting in every corner. Stephanie created martini glass escort cards, a mailbox for cards, ribbon wrapped gift box favors with donations to the Make a Wish Foundation, flip flops in every size in baskets around the tent and custom napkins with fun facts about the couple embossed on each one! After an awesome first dance and toasts, this group busted a move on the dance floor and in The Portrait Lounge. Our upscale photo booth with vintage props inspired some hilarious poses and had a line out the door the entire evening! A big thanks to Chuck Liu, my associate photographer for the day.
