C
ynthia and Matt's wedding at the
Boston Public Library took place last October, but there were so many cool little details that I've been wanting to get this up on the blog for a while now! We started the day at the
Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel, where Cynthia had her makeup done by
Jenny Luu, and Matt and his groomsmen shared a little scotch while getting ready. Once the B&G were dressed to the nines we headed across the street to the steps of the BPL where they shared their first look, and a few moments later the bridal party joined us for a quick portrait session. One of my favorite aspects of BPL weddings is the fact that the library is within walking distance to so many of Boston's most gorgeous (and iconic) photo locations. The Charles River Esplanade, The Boston Public Garden and Beacon Hill are all just a stones throw away so that we essentially have our pick of amazing places to take photos. For Cynthia & Matt's wedding we walked the three blocks down to the Boston Public Garden to take a few photos with their friends before circling back to the Fairmont Copley for a Chinese tea ceremony! For this, Cynthia changed into a more traditional dress and was surrounded only by her closest family members. The Boston Public Library has a gorgeous outdoor courtyard in the center of the building and this was the location for the nighttime ceremony. Guests then headed into the Popular Reading Room for the reception, picking up macaroon place cards on the way, and the bride and groom showcased
local Somerville chocolate company Taza in their favors for everyone. The Reading Room at the BPL was decorated with purple and green centerpieces provided by
Spruce Floral, who also created the bouquets and Matt's succulent boutonniere. There was no shortage of entertainment that night, as our
Portrait Lounge was onsite to provide some hilarious photo booth shots complete with vintage props, and D'hanna Perry from
Beat Train Productions (some of the best DJ's around in my opinion) was spinning awesome music all night long! Many thanks to my associate photographer
Gretjen Helene Photography for all her hard work that day, and a big congrats to Cynthia and Matt!
