I
'm always excited at the proposition of incorporating a clients specific ideas and input into a portrait or engagement session. Not only does this help get me out of my comfort zone as a photographer, but this type of collaboration only helps us get closer to creating images which reflect a client's personal style. I first met with Taylor and Samir earlier this summer to discuss taking photos at their wedding next May and the the three of us clicked instantly. They exude this wonderful, distinct vintage style and I knew they would be so much fun to photograph! For their engagement portraits, Taylor came up with the idea of incorporating a few of her favorite vintage propos, as well as their not-so-vintage and very much alive dog, Ollie. We wanted the photos to be a blend of a 1950's / 1960's vintage feel and also incorporate a few of their favorite architectural details and buildings around downtown Boston. A few of the locations we incorporated into the engagement portraits included Christopher Columbus Park, Boston's North End, The carousel along the Rose Kennedy Greenway and Old City Hall. Thanks so much for all your ideas and such a fun day S&T! I hope you enjoy!
